FarSide Marketing are the founders and suppliers of the 21st Century Christmas Box for our Military Personnel serving overseas away from their families at Christmas. The MOD has given its official backing to FarSide Marketing Ltd (a long standing supplier) to expedite their suggestion to send a Christmas Box to military personnel serving overseas.

A spokesman for the MOD's Defence Catering Group stated, "I have no doubt that the thousands of military personnel serving in operations across the world will enjoy the gift box even more as they face Christmas away from their families and loved ones".

In 2004 the MOD gave the go-ahead on September 23rd. The full 18,000 boxes were successfully sourced and packaged within only 5 weeks, the first batch were shipped on October 22nd 2004.

In 2005 a Charity (UK4U Thanks!) was set up to handle all finances and sponsors. Currently, the charity is seeking sponsorship for the 2008 Box and beyond.

Sponsoring the Forces Christmas Gift Box not only allows UK businesses to demonstrate their gratitude and support for the fantastic job our Forces are doing worldwide, but also presents an excellent opportunity to gain positive publicity.
